Connie and I welcome you to our home here in Wytheville, Virginia. I am retired from the US Army, beginning my career with the SCREAMING EAGLES, served many interesting years in Intelligence, had some all expense paid tours of Vietnam, finally retiring from service in 1976 at Vint Hill Farms Station, in Warrenton, Virginia.
Connie retired from Elementary teaching, beginning her career after graduating from Longwood College, near Farmville, Virginia. Connie's first teaching position was at the old Prince Street School, in Alexandria, Virginia. She later held positions in military dependant schools at Goose Bay, AFB, in Labrador, Newfoundland; Cigli AFB, in Izmir, Turkey; Ramstein AFB, in Germany, Camp Mercy, on Okinawa, and Kadena AFB, on Okinawa. She retired from teaching in Rockingham County, Virginia, where she was a 5th grade teacher at Lacy Spring Elementary, in Lacy Spring, Virginia.
I was born and raised in Rural Retreat, Virginia, and Connie was born and raised in the Shenandoah Valley in Elkton, Virginia. We are both lovers of nature and often take long walks in the mountains with our family dog, Lady, who is our only child.
